‘Firefly’ Nathan Fillion As Green Lantern In DCEU, Hinted For ‘Justice League’?
Fans have been expecting Warner Bros. to announce Green Lantern as the 7th Justice League member. However, for reasons unknown, the studio has not yet confirmed the existence of the space patrol superhero in the cinematic universe.Advertisement
Earlier this month, a source hinted the existence of Green Lantern in Zack Snyder’s film. While fans are excited by the news, there have been debates whether DCEU would cast Hal Jordan or Jon Stewart in the reboot version.
DCEU’s attempt at a Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds was a failure. Currently, actors from the industry have been fan cast or rumored to be in discussion for the role.
Screen Rant recently made a video compiling all rumored actors speculated to be “in line” for the Green Lantern role. Fans can check out the countdown footage below.
Many famous actors like Michael Jai White, Idris Elba, and Matt Damon were mentioned in the video. However, it looks like Nathan Fillion has a better chance of being cast for the role. Fillion is most noted for his lead role in Firefly and Castle. However, he has been cast in many movies like Saving Private Ryan, Serenity, and more.
The Firefly actor has been associated with DC since 2005 after he voiced for the animated Justice League film. Furthermore, Fillion was the voice of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, Justice League: Doom, and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.
While Fillion is famous for his contribution in the DC animated film, earlier in 2014, the actor also voiced a character in Guardians of the Galaxy. It has not yet been revealed if Fillion has his voice in the upcoming sequel as well.
