Final Goodbye Of ‘One Direction’ Not Absolute
Fans of One Direction were devastated when Zayn Malik, a band member, revealed earlier this year that he was leaving his mates behind.Advertisement
Afterwards, 1D continued to make music and were able to produce “Made in the A.M.” without the talents of Malik. Although an original member was out of the picture on 1D’s latest album, the group sticks to their revelation that “we are not saying goodbye, we are saying see you later.”
As reported by USA Today, One Direction is one of those music groups that have the most loyal and engaging fans of the century. However, despite their solid fan base, the group have decided to take a break after Zayn Malik left his mates.
After four tours, five albums and millions of fans, 1D announced, “we are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well-earned break” when they released their latest album, “Made in the A.M.” which was released today, November 13, 2015.
When asked about the band’s possible future, senior editor for Billboard stated, “I don’t think anyone really knows the likelihood of One Direction getting back together, not even them. If one or two or three decide to go solo and are successful, then there’s less and less incentive for them to bring back One Direction. At the same time, they have promised they will be back, and people don’t usually do that.”
When asked about the band’s position upon release of “Made in the A.M.” alongside Justin Bieber’s “Purpose,” Gale added, “Their fan bases obviously overlap, but it’s expected to be really, really close.”
In other news, Billboard reported One Direction has been promoting the release of their album and went to perform at BBC Radio 1’s “Intimate Live Lounge” last Thursday. They showcased several new songs, old best-selling hits, and covers.
The song list comprised of cover songs of famous artists such as Rihanna, Kanye West, and especially, Paul McCartney’s “Four Five Seconds” and Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn.
Before the band performed “FourFiveSeconds,” Niall Horan, a member of the band, stated, “This is a cover that we picked up, we wanted to do it because it’s a good song, and it’s been a big song this year, so we wanted to do our little version of it.” As the band performed, it was apparent that they were still comfortable in their own skin.
Despite the break-up and the announcement of their long break, One Direction urged their fans to believe that their newly released album, “Made in the A.M,” is their way of thanking their rock-solid fans, hoping that they will still believe in a potential comeback of the famous group in the years to come.
