On Tuesday, English author E.L. James made a public announcement saying that filming for Fifty Shades Darker (the second installment in the Fifty Shades trilogy) has started. James shared an Instagram pic of a clapperboard captioned, “Day one #FSD Good luck to all the cast and crew (heart emoticon).”

As the English author revealed to fans, American actress and model Dakota Johnson was seen jetting into Canada, where the Fifty Shades Darker movie is being filmed.

As per the Daily Mail, 26-year-old Johnson was fresh off her flight as the actress strolled through the airport with her brunette hair slicked up into a ponytail to put her blemish-free and minimally made-up complexion on show.

However, according to IB Times, the Fifty Shades Darker’s casting is going on in full swing after hiring Kim Basinger to portray Elena Lincoln (Christian Grey’s ex-lover). Universal Pictures also got on board the Canadian actor known for playing Flash Gordon, Eric Johnson, to play the role as Jack Hyde, Anastasia Steele’s (Dakota Johnson) boss.

Variety reports that actor Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford (famous for her role on the television series Lone Star) and Max Martini are also returning to the cast.

Universal Pictures is planning to shoot “Fifty Shades Darker” and the third installment “Fifty Shades Freed” back-to-back. As Fifty Shades Darker follows the success of the Fifty Shades Of Grey film adaptation, it is slated to fire up on February 10, 2017.

The Fifty Shades of Grey brought in $570 million worldwide, including $166 million domestically.
