FIFA 17 Release Date & Gameplay: PES 2017 Comparison, PC System Requirements & More

It seems FIFA 17 is the best example of EA making players excited about the same game year after year. So what’s store this year for the world’s most popular soccer simulator?

Well for starters, the release date is set for September 29, 2015, 14 days after the release of its greatest rival, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. We all know both are bringing their A game, so how does the EA soccer sim stack up against the competition?

FIFA 17 Gameplay

According to Fox Sports, Pro Evolution Soccer has always been leading in terms of graphics and gameplay. FIFA however, takes the cake when it comes to being a well-rounded product.

This year, PES 2017 still takes the title for the best graphics and gameplay, their tagline, ‘Control Reality’ being emphasized every time you play. FIFA 17 however won’t be outdone; EA has raised the bar on its own soccer sim.

Constant spatial analysis is made possible with new active intelligence system increasing off-ball activity. Physical play as well as free-kicks, corner-kicks and penalty-kicks has also been improved.

FIFA 17 Graphics

This will also be the first time we will see EA’s Frostbite engine at work on a sports game. The engine designed for shooters will now work its magic on the game’s graphics.

According to PC Gamer, Frostbite has certainly improved the finer details such as stadiums and facial expressions giving the game a more lifelike appearance. This is still behind PES 2017 though, who has been using the Fox engine for its second consecutive year.

FIFA 17 Overview

It seems EA is challenging Konami with their latest soccer simulator. And with the FIFA games already being a much more rounded game than PES, the field of graphics and gameplay are all Konami has in their sleeves.

Since this is the first time the Frostbite engine has been used on FIFA, it will definitely get minor tweaks in the future. FIFA 17 will be a stepping stone for EA as the battle for the best soccer sim continues on.
