Canadian Prime Minister’s remarks on Fidel Castro’s death garnered controversy. Now, Justin Trudeau is being referred to as the son of the great revolutionary.
Fidel Castro Biography: Justin Trudeau Is The Son?
Trudeau was wrapped with controversy after he praised Castro in a statement. While Castro had been a controversial figure, Trudeau’s comments sparked anger in many. Some people were furious to see Trudeau’s humanization of a dictator who made his people suffer.
Nonetheless, Trudeau said that Castro’s supporters and opposition knew his love for the Cuban people.
“I know my father was very proud to call him a friend and I had the opportunity to meet Fidel when my father passed away.” Trudeau said, reported official PM site.
“It was also a real honor to meet his three sons and his brother President Raúl Castro during my recent visit to Cuba.”
However, many are of the opinion that these were not just affectionate words. They believed that it reflects something much deeper, said CNN.
Just two days after Castro’s death, a rumor came out that Trudeau was actually the love child of Margaret Trudeau and Castro, said The Donald.
There are three unrelated reasons for this theory. Firstly, Margaret Trudeau and Castro met in 1976. They became close friends, said The Globe And The Mail.
Secondly, Margaret was quite sexually promiscuous. And finally, Justin Trudeau and Castro looked similar.
Fidel Castro Biography: Theory Debunked?
However, the possibility of Trudeau being Castro’s son is absolutely zero. While the Trudeaus had met Castro in 1976, Justin was born way before that meeting.
The book “Three Nights In Havana: Pierre Trudeau, Castro, and the Cold War World” had been used by many to comment on the sexual fling between Margaret and Castro. However, this is a work of complete fiction.
The New York Times reported that Margaret and Pierre Trudeau secretly married each other in March 1971 . Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was born in December 1971.
As for Margaret and Castro, there seems to be no historical evidence.
