Charlize Theron, who starred in films “Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Snow White and the Huntsman,” has gotten on board as the new cast member of Fast & Furious 8.
The Academy Award-winning star was formally declared a cast member through the official Twitter account of Fast & Furious. “Our crew will face its greatest adversary in our next film. Welcome Charlize Theron to the Fast family. 4.14.17. #F8,” the tweet reads.
Theron join original cast members Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto, Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Luke Hobbs, Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce and English actor Jason Statham as the rogue special forces assassin – Deckard Shaw.
According to Variety, details on the character Charlize will play are still vague. But it is certain she will be portraying some sort of villain.
The director of the biographical drama film Straight Outta Compton, F. Gary Gray, will be in the director’s chair for the next installment. The director is very motivated to work on the film because of the cast.
