‘Fancy’ Rapper Iggy Azalea Reacts To Professional Split With Mentor T.I.
Iggy Azalea was astounded when T.I. announced Wednesday his professional split with “Fancy” protégé Iggy Azalea. An announcement made with renowned New York radio station Hot 97’s “Ebro in the Morning” that shocked Azalea who learned about it on the Internet.
Vulture wrote that on the radio interview, T.I. revealed that he and Azalea are no longer on speaking terms. The Australian star “is known for speaking her mind on social media, which has caused numerous controversies over the past year,” according to International Business Times. T.I. defended her several times in the past.
The twenty-five-year-old rapper reacted to the news on Thursday by tweeting “The first I’ve heard of us having an ‘issue’ is via a radio interview.”
Azalea took a jab at T.I. for talking about their issues on air. “Personally, I don’t think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone that’s part of your team,” she tweeted her 5.78 million followers. However, T.I. did not react to the Australian hit-maker’s tweets.
Azalea got engaged with NBA Lakers player Nick Young last June during the latter’s 30th birthday party. The couple have already traveled to Australia but decided to hold the wedding on U.S. instead. iSchool Guide wrote that although the exact date remains a mystery, Iggy Azalea and Nick Young’s wedding is already confirmed to happen in Los Angeles with not only fireworks, but also a string quartet.
Azalea is very happy with the engagement and has posted photos with Nick Young in Instagram. The engaged couple have appeared together in Lip Sync Battle and other various shows in the past months.
