Tough luck for Fallout 4 fans, as the much anticipated mod program for PlayStation 4 has been officially delayed by Bethesda. The Fallout 4 PS4 mods was supposed to come out this month, but the studio has provided no explanation on the delay.

At E3 2016, Bethesda revealed new Fallout 4 DLCs that will come out in the upcoming months and also announced their plans for Fallout 4 VR for HTC Vive in 2017. But this delay could affect their whole schedule for the year.

According to Gamespot, Bethesda Game Studios took to Twitter to announce Fallout 4 PS4 mods release date delay. For now, the studio has not shared any reassuring information on its public release as well.

The tweet explained, “We regret to say that the PS4 mods beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.” Earlier this month, Bethesda confirmed that they are facing serious issues, as the PS4 mods currently have no sound file support, mod storage limited to 900MB and other performance related issues.

Fallout 4 Xbox One users can easily download mods up to 2 GB. These mods are created and uploaded through Bethesda.net. Xbox One gamers can download them from the website. PS4 gamer should also likely look forward to the same download mechanics.

Fallout 4 fans can enjoy the latest Contraption Workshop DLC for now. The rest of the confirmed expansions from E3 are Vault-Tec Workshop and Nuka World, which are also gaining a lot of attention over the past several weeks. Let’s hope the beta delay doesn’t affect the public release largely.

In other news, Bethesda announced their first online update for Doom yesterday. The patch was made to fix several Fallout 4 glitches and bug fixes.

Moreover, the update will also include add-ons like new Photo Mode and “Classic Doom.” The Doom online update will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users starting Thursday.
