Bethesda recently made Fallout 4 patch 1.3 available for PCs, but Xbox One and PS4 players are still waiting. Though delayed, we can expect it to start rolling out anytime this week. Before you get the update, let us see what improvements it will make to your game or what features it will bring along:


We will update you about the Fallout 4 Patch 1.3 release date for Xbox One and PS4, but as the update for PCs is already out, Bethesda listed down some of the features on its site saying, “The update has several new features – including PC-specific enhancements like our new ambient occlusion setting (HBAO+) – as well.” So, let us have a look at the list:

Fallout 4 Patch 1.3 – New Features

  1.  HBAO+ (PC), it’s a new ambient occlusion setting
  2. Weapon debris effects have been added
  3. Status menu has been added in your settlements for the settlers
  4. You can now rotate an object with left and/or right triggers. Another way to rotate objects is to press down the left thumbstick. This will let you “switch the rotating axis”
  5. “ESDF” keys remapping support has now been improved. This is when in the Workshop mode (PC)

Fallout 4 Patch 1.3 – Fixes

Here are some of the important Gameplay Fixes from an exhaustive list published on Bethesda’s website:

  1. Fixed issue where player could warp to a different location when aiming
  2. Fixed an issue where Vault 81 residents would not dismember correctly
  3. Fixed issue with third person camera not displaying properly after exiting certain crafting stations
  4. Fixed an issue where subtitles would occasionally not update properly
  5. Fixed an issue with NPCs getting stuck in Power Armor
  6. Fixed a rare issue with companions getting stuck in down state
  7. Fixed an issue with resistance not always lowering the damage correctly when added by mods
  8. Fixed issue with player becoming dismembered while still alive
  9. MacReady’s Killshot perk now calculates headshot percentages properly
  10. Enabled number of characters available when renaming an item (XB1)
