Earlier this week Bethesda released new updates and modding tools for Fallout 4, enhancing the gamer experience in all platforms. But, we still haven’t heard news of ‘Far Harbor’ DLC, until now.
Bethesda has already unveiled two downloadable content (Automatron and Wasteland Workshop) along with Far Harbor. Although the developers haven’t announced the exact dates, they have confirmed its release somewhere around this month. The new DLC content will also be available for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The upcoming release of Far Harbor is believed to be the best DLC by far according to gottabemobile. Bethesda also confirmed in a teasing tweet by Pete Hines that the DLC’s landmass is bigger “than Shivering Isles.” Going by official reports from Bethesda’s website, the game would be named based on a mysterious island where a colony of synth and a young woman are hiding in secret. The safety exceeding radiation poses threat and difficulty for gamers to bring peace to the island.
The developers at role-playing video game also said, “Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours,”
Basing on the hype and the time taken for development by Bethesda, The pricing of Far Harbor could be slightly expensive than the previous DLC. As of now, a gamer can acquire the downloadable content through the Season pass. A season pass is priced at $50 in most regions. But, if you don’t plan on buying the whole package, we could predict the DLC digital download package could be priced at half of the season pass’s worth, $25!
Far Harbor still hasn’t announced the size of the DLC. SteamDB believes the file to be as large as 3GB for PC, which is larger than the previous DLCs. It is possible based on the size of its map and the factors we are yet to know of. Lastly, the release date for the DLC wouldn’t be exclusive for each platform. The developers have confirmed the content will be available for download for all 3 platforms together in most regions.
