By launching free calling via Messenger, Facebook has already tried to change the way you normally make a call, especially international calls. Though the new calling feature has not affected other apps in anyway, the social media giant is trying its best to provide users all the features that can keep them away from normal calls or calls made using other apps like Skype. Hence, the roll out of Facebook Messenger Group Calling.
Facebook Messenger Group Calling has been launched. Now you do not have to move to any other platform to have fun with your gang or share good news with all the members at once. Don’t you think it is annoying to call each and every person individually to share the news? By the time you call the third or fourth person, everyone already knows what you have called for.
With Facebook Messenger Group Calling, you can dial up to 50 friends online, simultaneously. David Marcus, Top Executive, Facebook announced the global roll-out of the feature via the social networking site on April 20. In his short and crisp, yet informative post, he wrote
“Really excited to announce the global roll-out of group calling in Messenger today. From any group conversations, just tap on the phone icon to initiate a group call. You can then manage individual participants on the next screen. If you have the latest version of Messenger, you should see the phone icon appear in group conversations within the next 24 hours. Give it a try, and as always, let us know how we can make it even better for you!”
What if all the members of the group are not available when you make a call? Anyone receiver of the call who has missed it can join the conversation while the call is still on. All the person needs to do is tap on the ‘phone’ icon in the chat box. Facebook Messenger Group Calling also allows group members to view the list of members who are on call and also send each other messages. Though they say, the feature has been rolled out, most of the Messenger users are still to get this new feature. Wait for a few days if you do not find group calling on your Messenger.
