F1 2016′ Gameplay & Release Date: PS4 & Xbox One Frame Rate, Supported Controller & Wheel List Unveiled

F1 2016 release date is only one week away. And with the upcoming release, more details about the racing simulator are revealed. The game, the eight installment of F1 series by Codemasters, features some major improvements from its predecessor.

The game will see the introduction of the Virtual Safety Car. As well as manual starts, manual pit lane entry and the return of formation laps.

According to Playstation Universe, F1 2016 will also have a revamped career mode. It will now consist of ten full seasons instead of five from the previous games.

The research and development that went into the game will also be revised to give players greater control over the performance of the car. Add to it the crisp 1080p resolution for the PS4 and you’ve got one hell of a realistic racing simulator.

The Xbox One version of the game features a slightly lower resolution clocking in at 900p. However both will run at a silky smooth frame rate of 60 fps.

Codemasters has recently released a list of compatible wheels and controllers for the game. The developers also stated that they continue to support officially approved peripherals for PlayStation 4.
