Sawyer Sweeten, a popular “Everybody Loves Raymond” actor, has died while visiting his family in Texas. He is reported to have committed suicide on Thursday. He was 19 years old.


According to RadarOnline.com, the actor shot himself in the front porch of the house where he went to visit. The actual reason of the suicide is still unknown.

Madylin, the sister of Sawyer, confirmed, “We are devastated to report that our beloved brother, son, and friend, Sawyer Sweeten, took his own life. He was weeks away from his 20th birthday. At this sensitive time, our family requests privacy and we beg of you to reach out to the ones you love.”

Sawyer Sweeten was seen as one of the twin brothers in “Everybody Loves Raymond,” which was aired from September 1996 to May 2005.

When the show started, he and his brother Sullivan was just 16 months old. Soon, they became popular as Geoffrey Barone and Michael Barone. Their real-life sister Madylin played the role of Ally Barone.

Apart from the television sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” the Sweeten brothers were seen in the film “Frank McKlusky, C.I.” released in 2002, and a Disney channel series named “Even Stevens.” In 2010, the brothers were seen together for the last time in TV Land Awards.
