EPL Transfer News: Manchester United Reopens Contract Negotiation With David De Gea
In this EPL transfer news, David De Gea Manchester United seem to be opening another door for him as negotiations are underway.
His proposed move to Real Madrid collapsed a few days earlier on transfer deadline day sparking high-voltage drama.
Spanish custodian David De Gea’s present contract at United expires on 2016. Following the collapse, negotiations have begun with De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendez. According to reports, Mendez attended the club’s Carrington training complex on Thursday for detailed talks on the contract with head coach Louis Van Gaal. Earlier, the Old Trafford outfit indicated that the 24-year-old is reluctant for any contract extension with the club. De Gea earlier refused a new £200,000-a-week five-year deal at the club at the end of last season.
De Gea hasn’t played this season. There was uncertainty around his future as head coach Louis Van Gaal refused to give a nod to the former Atletico Madrid goal-keeper until the fag end of the transfer window.

Finally Van Gaal has agreed to hand De Gea an olive branch.
The duo’s relationship soured further as Van Gaal’s claim that the Spaniard wasn’t willing to feature in the opening games of the season upset De Gea. Manchester United sources, though clarified that the damaged relationship could be repaired fast.
But it is still a mystery whether De Gea would be under the United bar in the Saturday’s big-match of Premier League against Liverpool.
Van Gaal will be facing the media on Friday to answer questions to give reaction to reports of the players urging for greater freedom of expression under him and reduce rigidity.
