Winger Jese Rodriguez scored only 2 goals in seven matches. But despite his current form, Arsenal is keen to sign the rookie forward in January. Real manager Rafa Benitez has ignored Rodriguez while selecting his first eleven.
The Spanish giants are willing to sell the player if Arsenal meets their demand of £21.1 million.
Arsenal are looking to boost their roster in the hunt of a Premiership title for the first time since 2004. The Gunners are trying to deal with the problems in their camp due to the rising numbers in the injury list. Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey and Hector Bellerin are in the injury list.
Rodriguez’s former boss at Huracan, Deogradia Martin, believes that the promising winger is capable of surpassing Cristiano Ronaldo in the near future.
“In a few years, [Jese] will prove to be better than Ronaldo,” Martin said in an interview with AS. “He’s already better at one-on-ones.“I could see it in his eyes that he was a winner…and quite stubborn! When he arrived at Huracan, he told me he signed for us because he felt he was worthy of the move.”
