What could be expected from “Empire” season 3? Read on for the latest spoilers!
As the show’s executive producer Ilene Chaiken talked to TV Line, she hinted that the upcoming season will be a battle between good and bad.
“What we’re setting up is a battle of dark vs. light,” the 58-year-old EP said. “Who are the Lyons and how will they continue to define themselves going forward?”
“Can they ever change?” she added about the anticipated plot of “Empire” season 3. “Is Lucious (Terrence Howard) the dark lord, pulling them all in the other direction? And really, where does Tariq (Morocco Omari) fit in with all of this?”
She further narrated that she “would venture that if Tariq really is Lucious’ half-brother, there probably isn’t a good one and a bad one.”
She continued to disclose that the Lyons family is still going to be “together, the company is together, and Lucious and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) will be in one another’s faces and lives.”
Chaikem, however, disclosed in this new set of “Empire” season 3 spoilers that “her [being finished with Lucious] is going to color everything.”
In the meantime, the Fox musical drama series’ director Sanaa Hamri shared with Variety that the third season “is obviously going to be about the family dynamic, where Lucious Lyon is going to head, and where the relationship with his mother is going to take him.”
Following this decision, the director’s own list of “Empire” season 3 spoilers suggested that Cookie will be devastated prompting her to consider a new path.
As with the other cast members, Hamri noted that an “exciting season” is expected following the cliffhanger season 2 finale. So who died at the final episode?
“Anything is possible in the world of ‘Empire,’” she replied. “It’s going to quite sensational when we get back.”
