Eminem is a huge fan of Donny Osmond – this was revealed by the singer himself on “The View.” The 58-year-old legendary singer talked about his surprise meeting with the hip-hop rapper. Eminem is a huge fan of the singer and grown up on the latter’s show.

“It was funny because we were running together, like the commercials in slow-motion and he said: ‘Donny, I watched your show growing up. ‘You’re such a huge influence on me. So I said, ‘Oh, so it’s my fault’,” said Osmond talking about his meeting with Eminem.

Osmond appeared on “The View” along with Whoopi Goldberg and Raven-Symone.

Going down the memory lane, Osmond recalled that during the Brit Awards, 10 years back, Eminem performed and he wanted to meet the “Slim Shady.” The singer said he went up to Marshall Mathers hitmaker security guard and told him he wanted to meet the rapper. Osmond was elated when Eminem came running up to him and hugged him, Mirror reports. He added that the rapper fanboys over him.

Osmond recounted he spoke to the musician about loving “The Monster” with Rihanna, though, he said he was not a big fan, New York Post reports.

The song is from his eighth studio album “The Marshall Mathers LP2″ that was released in 2013. The song was on top of the chart in the U.S. in the Billboard Hot 100 list.

Meanwhile, Osmond also spoke about how he prides himself for a very normal life, being a teetotaller, non-smoker, and no drugs person. However, he also told how he was made fun of for his clean image, a result of his Mormon religion. The musician added that his childhood friends Michael Jackson and Prince turned to him for advice during the darkest days.

Osmond has been in showbiz for more than 50 years, and now he is a happily-married grandfather. His 38 years of successful marriage has blessed him with five sons and eight grandchildren. He currently performs regularly at his show in Las Vegas and the mockery of critics helps him to maintain stability in his life.
