Dwayne Johnson loves it that Charlize Theron is now part of “Fast 8.” Even if Theron is a villain on this movie, Johnson said his “good bud” is perfect for the movie.

“The Rock” took to his Instagram to express his joy in having his good friend be added to the new offering of the hit franchise. He mentioned, “Want to officially welcome my good bud and all around bad ass Charlize Theron to FAST & FURIOUS 8. When MTV asked her how she felt about coming in and playing the villain, her response was classic and the reason why I love that woman… She said, “I’m coming to mess that shit up!””

Theron is signed to play a villain in the movie set to be released in next April. She will be joining the original cast members, which include Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, and Jason Statham. E! News previously mentioned that Scott Eastwood will also be joining the team. While his character is still under wraps, it is known that he operates under Kurt Russell.

Adding Charlize Theron to the powerful star cast will certainly boost the girl power in the movie. Even Gibson is super excited about her inclusion. While having a chat with ET last week, he said, “I feel like her coming on board — girl power.” He was at an event of WE Day in Los Angeles when he mentioned, “We have bits and pieces of power women in it, but we needed to bring it up a notch.”

Moritz, & the Universal Studios Entertainment family. He added, “Together we are excited to bring you the next chapter in the Fast & Furious saga. ‪#‎FastFamily.”
