Page Six reported that prior to reading the “In-Law Jackpot” chapter of her book “Wildflower,” which talks about her soon-to-be ex-husband’s parents, the 41-year-old actress seemed melancholic.
“As you women know, laughter and crying are twins, and you men are still struggling with that,” the “Charlie’s Angels” star said. “The men will think we’re crazy . . . we are . . . but it’s that craziness that evolves into compassion.”
Drew Barrymore continued by saying, “We wear our hearts on our sleeves.” The entertainment site noted that during her speech, the “50 First Dates” lead actress reportedly skipped the portions in her book that mentions Will Kopelman.
In the chapter, which is about building the Barrymore Learning Academy in Kenya, the mother of two shared how such dream came to be. “About two years later, when I started dating my husband, Will, who was just my boyfriend at the time, I got a call that the school was ready to be visited,” the chapter reads.
“But I took a risk and asked Will if he would like to go with me and see it. He said an absolute yes, and off we went.”
In the meantime, despite feeling sad about the current state of her life, Barrymore is set to make people laugh on her short return to television! Variety reported that Drew Barrymore is set to star in the second season of Bravo TV’s “Odd Mom Out.” She will reportedly appear as a guest star together with Blythe Danner as they join Jill Kargman in some scenes of the scripted comedy series.
Drew Barrymore will portray the role of rude neighbor Meredith.
