Drew Barrymore Happy With Divorce, Promotes New Wine Business
Divorce could not break Drew Barrymore. Just one day after the news broke out, she was seen in Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival in Carmel, California, looking happy and relaxed.Advertisement
Not only did Barrymore attend the festival, she smiled and mingled. Her marriage with Will Kopelman may have come to an end following marital troubles, but she seems ready to face life.
An insider from the festival told People, “She was all smiles and giving everyone hugs.” The insider added that Barrymore did not look bothered about the divorce. “At the wine tasting table, Drew got behind the table and started pouring wine.”
The actress was present at the event to announce her label “Barrymore Wines.”
Barrymore, 41, was married to Kopelman, 38, for last three years and they share daughters, Olive, 3 and Frankie, 1. While divorce has taken them away from each other, the couple said nothing can take them away from their family.
Us Magazine reported the couple stating, “Sadly our family is separating legally, although we do not feel this takes away from us being a family,” they said. “Divorce might make one feel like a failure, but eventually you start to find grace in the idea that life goes on,” they added.
Both Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman mentioned that they will live the rest of their lives co-parenting their children.
Barrymore and Kopelman started dating on February 2011 and got married on June 2012. The news of their divorce came as a shock to many, owing to the fact that they never looked unhappy together. On March 19, the couple attended a friend’s wedding in Ojai, California, and they looked quite happy together, as a source mentioned.
A hint of the dispute, however, can be felt on the interview the actress gave to Us Magazine in November. She mentioned that they are trying a lot to make the marriage work by compromising.
Just like her last two marriages with Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green, this one ultimately and unfortunately ended. Drew Barrymore, however, seems to be holding up well for her children.
