Dragonball Xenoverse 2 To Be PS4 Exclusive In Japan? Release Date Confirmed
Earlier this week, Namco Bandai revealed its upcoming title, Dragonball Xenoverse 2. The game is scheduled to be released in all platforms this year. However, there is speculation about its release in Japan.Advertisement
The press release by Namco Bandai revealed that Dragonball Xenoverse 2 was designed to run only on current-generation platforms (PS4 and Xbox One) due to its improved graphical interface. Recent news has confirmed that the game will only be exclusively releasing the title for the PS4 in Japan.
A Namco Bandai spokesperson told Kotaku, “The game will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive in Japan. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in North America and Europe.”
Although the initial trailer didn’t give much, we can expect a gameplay trailer and further information on E3. The publishers have also released the game’s official website. This also indicates we could be updated with more information before E3.
Namco Bandai still hasn’t revealed its official release date for Japan and western regions. However, Anime News Network reported earlier that Dragonball Xenoverse 2 is set to arrive in Japan this winter. We are yet confirm this information. Last year, its debut title Xenoverse hit the market in the month of February. But if ANN’s news proves true, western release is just around the corner.
According to our earlier report, the game is being developed by Dimps, also responsible for the previous title. Dragon Ball Xenoverse received mediocre reviews. We hope its “enhanced graphics” could liven up the game this year. If you still haven’t caught a glimpse of the trailer. Watch it below.
