‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Update: New Trailer Reveals New Avatar; Connection With Dragon Ball Super?
“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” seems to be connected with the recent events Dragon Ball Super. Specifically events concerning the primary antagonist Black Goku, at least that’s what fans believe.Advertisement
The reason behind this theory is that with Future Trunks there could be a possibility that he and the Trunks from Xenoverse are one and the same. Some also believe that he is also part of the new Time Patrol.
The Time Travel Connection
According to Forbes, another proof that supports the theory is the insignia on Black Goku’s ring. The ring allows him to travel through time as well as forcibly returning him to the future.
While neither Mira nor Towa had such a ring in Xenoverse, they were known to be able to travel through time. They used this ability to change events through the timeline to their advantage.
In the latest trailer released by Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Evil Janemba and Evil Broly both have an insignia on their foreheads. While it isn’t the same as the one on Black Goku’s ring it is noticeably similar.
Given that the story of the original game focused on time travelling demons, the possibility that Super and the game’s second instalment could be connected. If this is truly the case, fans must have been gone full Sherlock to figure it out.
And there is a lot more to be expected from the game. According to the Bitbag new Super Saiyan 3 transformations will be available for avatars. The Frieza race will also have access to his final golden form from Resurrection F.
The Majin race will also have something to look forward to as the transformation turns them into a version of Kid Buu. If you have been watching the series, this was Buu’s most powerful version which Goku fought in the final season.
For those who plan to pick Namekians or Earthlings as their race, there will be no transformation available. While this is underwhelming, it should be noted that this is staying true to story as the aforementioned races have no transformations.
With so much to new stuff to get excited about, “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” just can’t come any sooner.
