The battle between Dr. Luke and Kesha is far from over as the producer has demanded to see her medical records reportedly to disprove the rape claims.
In its report, Page Six disclosed that the Dr. Luke said in a new court filing in Manhattan on Tuesday that the 29-year-old “Tik-Tok” singer “unambiguously waived” her therapist-patient privilege the moment she “she tried to break” her contract allegedly because of “physical, emotional and sexual trauma inflicted by Mr. Gottwald.”
The artist’s camp, particularly her lawyers, pointed out, though, that the demand might cause a “chilling effect” among other sexual-assault victims who would like to undergo treatment.
Amid this demand from Dr. Luke, Kesha responded by saying that the privilege has been identified so that “a person’s innermost thoughts and feelings” are protected.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that the Los Angeles –born “We R Who We R” performer is set to drop a bomb during her appearance on ABC’s Las Vegas show on May 22.
Accordingly, her “statement performance” would not only include a special performance of a song with direct reference to her legal battle with the former “Saturday Night Live” house band’s lead guitarist, but would also feature several photos of him.
It can be recalled that during her performance of EDM producer Zedd’s “True Colors” at the Coachella Music Festival last month, Kesha did it soulfully as if trying to point out something about her fight against Dr. Luke.
“I won’t apologize for the fire in my eyes / Let me show you my, my true colors,” the lyrics shared on USA Today read.
However, the report stated that the singer “made no reference to her legal case,” while she was on stage with Zedd.
After not seeing her for months, her fans were delighted to see her performing live once again. “Kesha just came out during Zedd’s #Coachella set and I tried not to cry,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “Kesha is free.”
