Accordingly, the upcoming sequel is going to focus on a new plot and storyline especially that the network is reportedly keen about providing their fans with something more exciting.
Does this really mean that the rumored dating couple Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo will already become parents in Descendants of the Sun 2?
While KBS has still been mum whether or not the 30-year-old actor and 34-year-old actress will be reprising their roles in the highly-anticipated sequel, many of their fans have appeared so sure already about their return.
Morning Ledger reported that amid this situation, the lead stars were reportedly seen having a meeting with the show’s writer.
This immediately sparked rumors that their reappearance as Captain Yoo Si Jin and Doctor Kang Mo Yeon, respectively, is already inevitable.
In fact, some even speculated that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have already started filming “secretly” for Descendants of the Sun 2.
Along with the louder buzz about the on-screen couple’s return on television for the military drama, talks about becoming parents soon were also noted.
As new parents, their “jobs, marriage and life with kids” will reportedly be highlighted, too, in the anticipated plot of the South Korean drama’s sequel.
In the meantime, International Business Times hinted that this scenario might not only happen on-screen as fans continue to hope that Song Joong Ki will already propose to Song Hye Kyo before the arrival of Descendants of the Sun 2, and most likely on his 31st birthday on Sept. 19.
The dating rumors even became more interesting when the actor reportedly dished that the actress sent “a coffee truck” while he was taping for his new movie “Battleship Island.”
“She not only sent a coffee truck, she sent a snack truck too,” he shared at the 11th Seoul International Drama Awards last Sept. 8. “She’s the best partner.”
