What's This?

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller became the proud owner of the first-ever pair of Yeezy cleats. So what did he do with the fresh kicks? He broke the internet with it.

Miller recently shared a snapshot of the spiked high-top on Twitter. The post has now garnered close to 21,000 likes and 16,500 retweets.

The stylish present was apparently from Adidas and Mr. Yeezy himself, Kanye West. Miller made it a point to thank his generous sponsors. “Thanks @KanyeWest and @adidasfballus for the cleats!!” said Miller. “Can’t wait to test them out tonight!!!”

A Peace Offering Gift?

Hollywood Life reported that the Yeezy cleats has yet to hit retail stores. Miller is even more fortunate to get it for free.

The Yeezy cleats is expected to go on sale for a whopping $600. The upper of the shoe features an off-white color with perforated vents on the toe box area. Lockdown is covered by a thick midfoot strap with laces that run through the high-ankle collar.

According to CBS Sports, the extravagant gift may have been a peace offering from Kanye to Miller. Earlier this year, Kanye ignored Miller’s request for an autograph during a taping for “Saturday Night Live.”

On Wednesday, Kanye unveiled his Yeezy Season 4 collection at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park in New York City as part of New York Fashion Week. The singer-songwriter announced that he is planning to open 200 Adidas Yeezy stores within a year from now.

As for Miller, the Adidas-signed athlete debuted the Yeezy cleats during Thursday’s Super Bowl 50 rematch between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. The Broncos edged out the Panthers 21-20.

The defending NFL champions were behind 17-7 heading into the fourth quarter. Running back C.J. Anderson broke free for two touchdowns which put the Broncos in the driver’s seat. The Broncos trailed for most part of the match due to three early turnovers versus the Panthers’ zero, as per USA Today.
