Who would have thought that someone else could deliver the song “Hello” by Adele with the same shocking factor? Demi Lovato sang her own version of the song and she received a standing ovation from the audience for a job well done.
As reported by Vanity Fair, Demi Lovato was set to perform at the Seattle’s Fall Ball last Saturday night. As anyone would expect, the audience thought that she would sing one of her hit singles such as “Heart Attack” of “Skyscraper.” However, Lovato shocked the crowd when she took on one of the most challenging vocal singles in the charts today.
Adele’s one hit wonder “Hello” have been dangling at the top of the music charts for weeks. As much of a powerhouse vocalist Adele was, Lovato tried to take on the challenge and sang her piece during the said event.
As the report puts it, Lovato’s performance was impeccable, near to perfection. She showcased the song as if she felt all the emotion that Adele felt when she was feeling depressed during the writing process of the piece. Even if she was not the one who wrote the song, the emotion she conveyed when she delivered was on point.
During a photo shoot last October, Lovato told a reporter, “How do I embrace this new chapter in my life? How do I really walk the walk? What does it mean to be confident? It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don’t give a f**k and this is who I am. I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free.” Lovato, therefore, was an emotional vocal artist which was clearly manifested during her performance.
In other news, USA Today described Lovato’s performance as “…and it was flawless. Moving. Amazing. We’re at a loss for words.”
At present, Demi Lovato will be on a North American tour showcasing, yet again, her talents in the field of music with Nick Jonas. Will she be able to wow the audience once again with another remake of a vocally-challenging song during her concert? One thing’s for sure. Her rendition of Adele’s “Hello” was, in fact, a phenomenal performance.
