On Sunday, the 23-year-old Cool For The Summer singer took to Twitter, and the singer with 34 million followers posted, “Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action.”

Demi Lovato said that people should be enlightened about Kesha’s bravery. She also said that she is ready for self-proclaimed feminists to take the plunge for women’s rights.

Fans of Kesha immediately made the hashtag (#FreeKesha) trend online for several hours, and celebrities including Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Lorde and Kelly Clarkson voiced out their support online.
