Deadpool has mocked Wolverine in his latest video for Australia Day. The movie’s marketing team has truly outdone themselves this time, as actor Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool’s alter-ego, hilariously told Australians that he is not happy the country paved way for Wolverine. Not that the character himself is Australian, but because Hugh Jackman is.

As reported by Cinema Blend, Deadpool posted a video of himself wearing an Australian hat to greet everyone from the country a “Happy Australia Day.”

Judging by the actor’s delivery, fans reacted positively, as they are excited to see the upcoming movie now that they know it’s going to be hilarious to the bone.

The video also mocked Wolverine;, not the character itself, but the actor who portrays him, Hugh Jackman. The latter is an Australian actor who plays the character’s nemesis in the movie, “The Wolverine.”

During the said movie, it was apparent that Deadpool and Wolverine were always against each other, especially when the former has an unstoppable annoying mouth. For that, the video’s mockery may have been his comeback!

In other news, reports that Deadpool’s message wasn’t quite as mocking as it sounded, for it relays an important message – especially when he addressed New Zealand’s take on the state’s “unrelenting condescension.”

He even stated, “I’ve got no problem with Hugh (Jackman), I mean he’s a delightful guy, true legend. But the movie, that was a career low for me, you understand.”

Not leaving any stone unturned, Jackman also had a take on Reynolds, reports Cinema Blend. He said during an interview at Sundance, “I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan [Reynolds] – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me.”

This opened the possibility that Wolverine might be around for “Deadpool 2.” He added, “But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine].” He did not, however, negate that possibility.

Catch Deadpool in theaters this February 12, starring Ryan Reynolds as the witty, humorous, and strikingly fit superhero out for revenge.
