Ben Affleck recently announced Deathstroke’s participation in the DCEU in Justice League and being the primary rival in the film The Batman. Affleck will be the one to both direct and star in the movie.
While fans have been waiting for other updates regarding The Batman, Joe Manganiello, who plays Deathstroke, makes his own campaign to cast Anna Kendrick as Robin. He posted a picture of them while doing a seemingly villains pose.
Manganiello is trying to get the attention of people and convince them that Anna Kendrick is perfect for the role of Robin. In the 20th anniversary event of Mohegan Sun Casino, Manganiello posted a picture on Instagram tagging Kendrick captioned “#Deathstroke and #Robin.”
Looks like Deathstroke himself is confident that Kendrick will certainly get the role. As of this writing, Affleck, has not yet given any confirmation that Kendrick is indeed a part of the cast.
Some say that the upcoming movie’s story line is somewhat unexpected with Deathstroke’s part. Since the movie is most likely to have an unforeseen storyline, fans say that Robin could be a female version this time.
Kendrick seems to be pushing the button as well through jokingly expressing her desire to the role. However, fans will have to wait if the picture will become reality.
A female take of Robin would be a thrilling way in introducing DCEU, an American franchise that is centered on superhero films and DC Comics stories. In a hilarious interview of Affleck and Kendrick in After Hours for the film The Accountant, Kendrick suddenly appeared as Robin in the middle of the interview.
While Affleck said that there would be no Robin in the movie, Kendrick jokingly said that she could be Batman. She also expressed how she would love to work on a superhero themed movie.
