Playing As Spider-Man Broke Andrew Garfield Heart!
Garfield played as Peter Parker a.k.a the friendly neighborhood superhero in “The Amazing Spider-Man”. It was the first reboot of the series since Tobey Maguire played the role successfully in 2002 and completing the trilogy.
While Garfield went on to reprise his superhero role in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”; unfortunately, the series underwent a reboot again. During the “Variety Studio – Actors On Actors” interview, the ex-Spider-Man revealed his struggle in playing the character ti Adams.
During their talk, Garfield revealed that his experience playing as Spider-Man was rather heartbreaking than rejoicing. The actor said to Adams, “There’s something that happened with that experience for me where story and character were not actually top of the priority list, ultimately. And I found that really, really tricky. I signed up to serve the story and to serve this incredible character I’d been dressing as since I was 3. And then it gets compromised, and it breaks my heart. I got heartbroken a little bit.”
