Olympic champion Michael Phelps might not be only known for being one of the world’s best professional swimmers as he is reportedly set to show off his other talent in Dancing With The Stars season 3.
According to a new report, the 31-year-old Olympian, who just won his 22nd gold medal on Thursday at the Rio Olympics 2016, was offered to star in the new season of the ABC dancing reality show.
Will he accept the proposal? Is he willing to share his gift in dancing? As confirmed by a source of Hollywood Life, Phelps was asked even before to be part of Dancing With The Stars.
“Michael has been asked before (to do DWTS) and he was recently asked [to compete in] the upcoming season,” the unnamed informant reportedly claimed. “And though he has considered it, he doesn’t want to do it; he wants his legacy to be in the pool and not on the dance floor.”
If ever his decision was different, the report noted that he might just be included in the line-up of athletes who did well in the show – Apollo Ono, Kristi Yamaguchi and Meryl Davis, who are all Olympic ice skaters.
Since Dancing With The Stars season 23 will not be out until Sept. 12, would there still be a chance for Michael Phelps to change his mind? Only time will tell.
In the meantime, People shared that the new promo image of Dancing With The Stars has revealed that Artem Chigvintsev and Sharna Burgess will still dance their way to the 23rd season.
