It has only been days since Olympic medallist Ryan Lochte was confronted by two anti-Lochte men on the sets of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23 and there is already another controversy in the making. Model and actress Amber Rose has been, reportedly, telling friends and production staff that the show is rigged in favour of a particular contestant.
According to a report by the Radar Online, Rose has been suspicious of the attention her fellow contestants have been getting at the show.
“Amber saw the way Laurie Hernandez was given the top spot in the GMA cast announcement and it made her think that they are playing favorites,” Radar Online quoted a source as saying.
The 32-year-old model has been everywhere recently. She has her own show VH1 and she is also hosting the popular ‘Loveline’ podcast besides appearing as one of the contestants on the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Season 23
The contestant she believes has been put up against her is 16-year-old Olympian, Laurie Hernandez.
“Amber saw the way Laurie Hernandez was given the top spot in the GMA cast announcement and it made her think that they are playing favorites,” the DWTS insider said. “Amber feels like she is up against the system.”
She also expressed concerns about being paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who had trouble with the judges earlier. She believes that it has been done to portray them as a team of villains to the viewers, the Hollywood Gossip reported.
“Amber knows that the judges have had trouble with Maks, but she is determined to not give them anything to criticize,” the source said.
The source also added that since Rose is a former stripper she has some good moves up her sleeves and she can dance really well. However, she is very competitive and according to the insider, the model wants to win the competition on her own merit.
