Dakota Johnson has some surprising reactions about “Fifty Shades Darker.” She might have contradicted the overall vision of director James Foley.Advertisement
Johnson was also seen in “How To Be Single” where she explored her comedic side as an actress. In the said film, her character liberates herself from a romantic relationship. As reported by Movie Pilot, Alice, Dakota’s character in the film wants to discover how she is outside a relationship while having fun with it.
“How To Be Single” is a comedy and Johnson may have enjoyed the movie so much that she reportedly said that “Fifty Shades Darker” should be equally humorous. “I need Anastasia to be funny. If you can’t laugh during a movie like that, you’re fucked. Literally. You need to have something that everyone can relate to,” she said as quoted by Movie Pilot. According to Johnson, it was quite difficult for viewers to relate to her as Anastasia Steele.
The shooting for “the Fifty Shades of Grey” sequel has already started. The film will be shoot back to back with “Fifty Shades Freed.” Foley will be directing the movie and “Fifty Shades Darker” will be really dark according to the director. It is a thriller of a kind and will be serious too, contrary to what Johnson have in mind. In April, Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley told The Hollywood Reporter that the second installment of the Fifty Shades franchise will be “more of a thriller.”
Jamie Dornan, Johnson, Luke Grimes, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini will be reprising their roles in the Fifty Shades Of Grey sequel. As exclusively reported by Flickering Myth, Tyler Hoechlin, Kim Basinger, Bella Heathcote, Brant Daugherty, Eric Johnson, and Ariella Kebbel will also be part of the casting.
Fifty Shades Darker will be release in theaters on February 10, 2017, while Fifty Shades Freed will be out on February 9, 2018.
