Good news arrives for users of open-source mobile operating system Cyanogen. Microsoft released its digital personal assistant app Cortana for Android, iOS and Cyanogen late last year.

As reported by Android Headlines, the latest Cyanogen OS update – the 12.1-YOG7DAS2K1 Incremental – includes new features for Cortana like voice activation (by simply speaking the phrase, “Hey Cortana”), enabling the Quiet mode, switching between network modes and powering off the device. Some of the other features include receiving alerts about missed calls on one’s computer and sending automatic replies. Additionally, users who have Windows 10 will be able to sync their content between their phone and computer using Cortana.

The update, 68MB in size, will be available to Cynogen users as an over-the-air update.
