Conor McGregor is on cloud nine following his majority decision win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202 last weekend. With that over and done with, it will be interesting what the Irishman is planning to do next.

McGregor did hint that a third match with Diaz would be possible if it would be done at 155lbs. Before that, Dana White did make it clear that “The Notorious” would have to defend his actual UFC featherweight title first, most likely against Jose Aldo, Fox Sports reported.

Looking over his antics, McGregor does practically anything he wants. White is not expected to object for as long as it brings in the revenue. But what if the Irishman’s next match is not in the Octagon and inside the boxing ring?

McGregor vs. Mayweather Revived?

Everyone knows the celebrated jabs that McGregor and retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. had before and it looks like a fantasy matchup is up in the air again, reported.

In this scenario, it is all about the money McGregor stands to make. He doesn’t mind the stipulations as long as the money is on the table. Right now it will be interesting if this goes anywhere though there are other factors to consider.

Will The UFC Allow It To Happen?

The UFC has been known to take control of its fighters, McGregor included. It is no secret that White and the UFC bosses are not too thrilled of such a match unless they were involved in the booking.

The UFC does have new owners but their stand is expected to be the same. Hence, McGregor needs to do a lot of negotiating on his end and see if Mayweather is serious of facing him in such an unusual match. A McGregor vs. Mayweather matchup could rack in millions but both camps need to agree first, something that could take a while.
