Could it be true that Colin Kaepernick’s girlfriend, Nessa Diab, is a bad influence?
Following the controversy that involved the 28-year-old American football quarterback, reports have alleged that his “Black Lives Matter” supporter girlfriend might just have something to do with it.
Did she convince him not to stand up when “The Star-Spangled Banner” was being played prior to the game of San Francisco 49ers against Green Bay?
It can be noted that the Hot 97 DJ and MTV host has been vocal about her support for the “Black Lives Matter” movement even before she became known as the girl of Colin Kaepernick.
Was the NFL player’s move part of his strategy to finally announce his support to the crusade?
According to Terez Owens, the professional football player remained seated while the national anthem was being sung because he allegedly wanted to show his protest versus the so-called “black oppression” in the United States.
“We’re now hearing that it was actually his girlfriend Nessa’s idea for Colin to protest,” an unnamed source reportedly said. The source further dished that Colin Kaepernick and Nessa Diab “are still planning an Islamic-style wedding.”
In a separate entry, the sports rumors blog alleged that as a noted “Black Lives Matter” activist, the MTV VJ “has been beating that into his head the entire off season.”
“Our sources still insist she was the one who convinced Colin to initially protest, now his NFL career might be done,” the report pointed out. “No team wants that drama, Colin should follow suit and cut out his.”
In an interview with NFL Media after his team’s match with Green Bay, the football star reportedly shared his reason for doing it. “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” Colin Kaepernick said.
