The Cleveland Cavaliers are ready to strike deals no matter how stacked their current roster is. The ultimate target is to match up with the Golden State Warriors super team. With the big free agents out of the market, is it time for them to consider the returning Andray Blatche?
From China To Gilas Pilipinas To The Big League
Blatche was a household name in Washington and Brooklyn during his nine-year NBA career. However, he has been a forgotten man after taking his talents to Asia.
The former Syracuse standout has not seen action in the NBA since the 2013-14 season but has played a lot of basketball during his absence. He played for the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in China.

Blatche also suited up for the Philippines in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, 2015 FIBA Asia Championships and 2016 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament. But after earning big paychecks in China and Philippines, Blatche is eyeing an NBA comeback this season, Spin reported.
Andray Blatche Adding Frontcourt Depth To Cleveland Cavaliers
It is no secret that the Warriors are lacking high-quality big men for next season after Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli moved elsewhere. And in their upcoming title defense, the Cavaliers will likely expose that weakness.
Adding more big men to their roster could work wonder for them, and Blatche could be a good fit, King James Gospel noted. Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love will be their starters with Channing Frye and Chris Andersen coming off the bench.
Andersen is not getting any younger at 38, while Frye has had difficulties guard hulking power forwards and centers in the league. Blatche is not a great defender in the paint as well but could help with his versatility.
“Andray Blatche could fill a need that the Cleveland Cavaliers have,” King James Gospel noted. “It would be a low-risk, high-reward opportunity for both Blatche and the Cavs, and could be a catalyst to a larger contract down the road.”
Should Cleveland sign Blatche to improve their chances of successfully defending their title next season?
