Is Charlie Sheen HIV positive? In a response to the widely spread speculations about his health, Charlie Sheen has finally come out clean in a TV interview.


In the highly-anticipated interview with Matt Lauer on the show TODAY, the actor admitted that he is indeed HIV positive.

“I’m here to admit that I am in fact HIV positive. And, I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks, of sub-truths, and very harmful stories that are about threatening the health of so many others, which couldn’t be farther from the truth.”

As to the reason why he has finally let the issue out, he said that this is because he has been paying millions of dollars just to silence people about his being HIV positive, a condition which he learned four years ago.

These people, mostly prostitutes whom he had relationships with, have been threatening him, according to the report.

“It’s a hard three letters to absorb. It’s a turning point in one’s life,” he said.

When asked why he would tolerate the blackmails despite his situation, he simply answered that he was living a life of depression, drug and alcohol abuse.

But does Charlie Sheen have AIDS?

This is something his doctor, who also appeared in the show, clarified. His doctor clearly said that Charlie Sheen does not have AIDS. News about him being HIV positive and having AIDS have been circulating the media for days now.

His positivity during the entire entire caught Mashable. Charlie Sheen showed this optimism when he remarked: “If there was one guy on this planet to contract this that’s going to deliver a cure, it’s me.”
