Meanwhile, if you just want to unwind on your couch but still celebrate margarita holiday, you might want to try this spicy margarita recipe concocted by the National Margarita Day committee themselves. It’s called the Strawberry Sriracha Margarita. This recipe serves two. Here’s how to make it.
Strawberry Sriracha Margarita
2 cups strawberries, hulled and chopped
1/2 cup tequilla
1/4 cup Cointreau (or other orange flavored liquor)
1 tbs agave nectar
1/2 tsp Sriracha
2 cups ice
Add all ingredients to a blender, then blend until smooth. Pour into a sugar-rimmed margarita glass.
And in case your home bar doesn’t have all the liquor needed, there’s no need to worry. Fat Tuesdays is selling Margarita Mixes on its website all day for $4. Happy National Margarita Day!
