Cavs Vs Celtics: LeBron James (24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block) and Kevin Love (20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks) combined for 44 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Boston Celtics 89-77 Tuesday night at the TD Garden.


For Love, the victory served as a redemption song in his first game back in Boston since Kelly Olynyk yanked his shoulder out of the socket during the last playoffs. That Celtics-Cavs series was a brutal one which also saw Jae Crowder taking a punch from JR Smith.  |Box Score| Crowder finished with 14 points and 3 rebounds in his first match-up with Cavs since the incident last playoffs.

Timofey Mozgov had a near double-double with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. Iman Shumphert, in his second game back from injury, had 6 points from 14 minutes.

For Celtics, Avery Bradley led the way with 17 points and 3 steals. Isiah Thomas had 12 points and 4 assists in his new role as starting PG.

With the win, Cavs consolidated their No 1 seed in the grueling Eastern Conference. Celtics, with a 14-11 record, are fighting for places in the bottom half of the conference.
