Castle Season 8 Spoilers: Promo Photo Reveals Exciting Changes

Promo photos for “Castle” season 8 were released September 10 on Twitter.


According to International Business Times, it shows that Alexis (Molly C. Quinn) will be working on her dad’s new detective firm and help him crack cases. Since Rick’s wife is busy with her promotion, he will look for a new partner, and his daughter Alexis seems to fit the bill. As Kate goes missing, father and daughter takes it as their first case and track down Rick’s wife.

Castle showrunners Alexi Hawley and Terence Paul Winter also revealed in an interview with TV Line that viewers will be treated to changes in ABC’s “Castle.”

Some of the changes will be: Rick Castle (Nathan Fillion) will have a new partner and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) will have a new job. Toks Olagundoye and Sunkrish Bala will also join the original casts as regulars playing Hayley Shipton and tech analyst Vikram Singh, respectively. Despite the changes, Hawley said that “the show has always been and will always be about their love affair, but we’re looking to add some drama to it, some spark to it.”

Ryan (Seamus Dever) and Esposito (Jon Huertas) will start getting ambitious with their career after Kate gets promoted to Captain status. The boys will sometimes be at odds with each other, in a funny way.

Security specialist Hayley (Olagundoye) will join the firm and will become a mentor to grown-up Alexis.

Entertainment Weekly wrote that “Beckett is alive and well after her ordeal” based on the recently released photos by ABC from the second part of the two-part premiere. Part 2’s logline says, “In part two of last week’s Season 8 premiere, Beckett’s side of her abrupt disappearance is revealed. After receiving a mysterious tip from her past, Beckett is launched into a fight for her life, with a team of mercenaries hot on her trail. While Castle investigates why his wife is on the run, Beckett must figure out who wants her dead, before they can finish the job.”

“Castle” season 8 premieres September 21, 10 p.m. on ABC.
