The 23-year-old British model returned to modelling this week with a Saint Laurent campaign. This assignment is her last with Creative Director Hedi Slimane, who is stepping down from the respected fashion house, People reported. This was a surprise to fans who believed Delevingne have quit modelling to pursue a career in film. The actress took to Twitter to clear the cloud but ended up revealing she has depression.
She started by tweeting, “Can we just set the record straight.” She followed it up by adding, “I never said I was quitting modeling. I do not blame the fashion industry for anything.”
As she defended her return to modeling, she revealed that she has depression. “I suffer from depression and was a model during a particularly rough patch of self-hatred.” Delevingne mentioned in the tweets that she is lucky for the work she is getting, and that it helps her go through the rough patch of life. However, she is extremely tired.
While Cara Delevigne has signed the modeling contract, her focus remains on doing films. “I am focusing on filming and trying to learn how to not pick apart my every flaw. I am really good at that,” she tweeted.
It can be remembered that the actress once told Mail Online UK that modeling pays her rent, but her passion is on acting. “As far back as I can remember I’ve wanted to act. We were going through all these old home videos recently, which I’d never seen before, and there were shots of me acting on a mocked-up stage.”
