Marvel Studios’ upcoming “Avengers: Infinity Wars” is expected to change MCU’s course of movies for years to come. Moreover, the fate of Captain America, Iron Man and the others are currently in the hands of Thanos. The supervillain is expected to kill off one of them from the cinematic universe.
In the climax of “Captain America: Civil War”, Steve Rogers drops his shield as a symbol of his exit from the superhero role. Although his appearance has been confirmed for “Avengers: Infinity War”, it looks like he would appear as Capt. Rogers himself.
Captain America Role To Be Taken Over By Winter Solider?
Earlier in August, it was finally confirmed by Russo Brothers during an interview that “I think him dropping that shield is him letting go of that identity. [It’s] him admitting that certainly the identity of Captain America was in conflict with the very personal choice that he was making.”
Since then a deleted scene from “Captain America: Civil War” has been suggesting that the Winter Solider would take up Roger’s mantle. Fans can check out the video here.
Finally, it looks like Sebastian Stan (Winter Solider) himself has decided to drop clues for the MCU fans. The actor recently shared a speculative photo on his instagram account.
New Shield Already Created For Sebastian Stan In “Avengers: Infinity War”?
In the photo, Stan can be seen wearing a shield similar to the one used by Rogers. Moreover, it also has a red star symbol indicating him as Winter Solider as well as Captain America.
In the description, Stan added it “Will come in handy” teasing he may use a shield in “Avengers: Infinity War”. Fans can check it out below.
Stan made his debut appearance as Bucky in “Captain America: The First Avenger”. Later, he reprised his role and transformed into Winter Soldier in the sequel.
The recent “Captain America: Civil War” established that the Winter Solider is in fact innocent. Moreover, MCU has also teased him to be an ally in the upcoming title as well.
