Speaking to Fandango, Samuel L. Jackson, who plays Nick Fury, said that his role will likely to have a comeback in Avengers 3 and 4 after “Captain America: Civil War.”
“Shield is still reeling from its infiltration by Hydra, and now the Avengers can’t even see eye to eye,” Comic Book noted. “At some point, Fury’s leadership will be needed, and it makes sense to bring him in after the dust has settled from Civil War.”
The report added that Nick Fury will return in the “Avengers: Infinity War Part 1,” which will hit the screens on 2018.
Meanwhile, when asked what side he would have chosen in the war, Samuel L. Jackson said he has not thought about it that much.
“I’m Nick Fury — Nick Fury is above all that,” he said, adding that whatever he chooses, it will not make him get “into trouble.”
Samuel Jackson’s role as Nick Fury is not the only character missing in the “Captain America: Civil War.” Also noticeably absent in the roster of Avengers are Thor and Hulk.
Movie Web said Nick Fury will return because Jackson will come back from Australia after he finished filming “Kong: Skull Island.”
Despite the fact the he can appear in Marvel movies whenever his character fits, the report underscored that Samuel L. Jackson’s contract may be over, making it possible for Marvel to exhaust possibilities for his role.
