Being a controversial singer with a chart-topping hit has its perks. For example, Cam and Morgan Freeman — yes, that Morgan Freeman — won’t bat an eyelash covering your song.

In a video that has reached over 1.8 million hits since March 3, the actor known for his deep, dignified voice performed a dramatic reading of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”

“I’m going to do a dramatic reading from a very popular songwriter,” Freeman began, rolling his eyes at the last word. Watch him make a homily out of Bieber’s “deliciously evil poison-pen ballad,” as Amy Davidson of Digital Spy puts it.

The video is punctuated with shots of Freeman furrowing his brows, as well as black-and-white montages of him doing random facial expressions. Bieber seems to have loved it, though, judging by the fact that he retweeted billboard’s post about the video.

Freeman isn’t the only celebrity to get on board the “Love Yourself” wagon. Earlier this week, “The Bobby Bones Show” posted a Facebook video of country artist Cam covering Bieber’s song.

With her signature laid-back style and country twang, Cam brought out the underlying vindictiveness of Bieber’s lyrics with the help of two acoustic guitarists.

According to The Rolling Stone, Cam regularly performs her own songs on the radio show, as well as covers from other artists — including Pharrell, Meghan Trainor, Katy Perry and Adele. Her take on “Love Yourself” is the latest in a series of Joy Week performances from country stars like Jana Kramer, Maren Morris and Tim McGraw.

Speaking of Bobby Bones, he will release an album cheekily titled “The Critics Give It 5 Stars” on March 18, along with the Raging Idiots, his comedy group. Sounds Like Nashville reports that the album will feature Brad Paisley, Kelsea Ballerini, Carrie Underwood and more. Take a sneak peek at their album with the hilarious new video “Starbucks.”
