“The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect,” he said about their split which actually happened on Thursday.
This is contrary to what the entertainment site’s source previously revealed, where it was claimed that Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift parted ways “last week” after dating for 15 months.
“Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them,” the unnamed source shared.” Adam is the one that ended it.”
“It was all done in a very mature fashion,” the source added. “Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication. Taylor was there for Adam with his accident and supportive.”
While Calvin Harris already issued a statement about their split, Taylor Swift opted to just re-tweet what he said on her personal account.
In the meantime, several sources of TMZ alleged that the fame and fortune of the 26-year-old “Bad Blood” singer caused the break-up. With Taylor Swift landing on Forbes’ list of richest self-made women with a networth of of $250 million, this is not that farfetched.
“Sources close to the exes tell us Calvin is all about his music, working out and keeping a low profile,” the report said.
It was noted that when they were just starting out, the relationship of Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift was private, but not until they “they started doing award shows, parties and red carpets … Calvin grew more and more uncomfortable.”
The sources reportedly continued to say that “Calvin was just honest about his dislike for the Hollywood spotlight.”
However, a source close to Calvin Harris denied that he is intimated by Taylor Swift’s success considering that “he’s one of the most successful DJs in the game.”
