Brittney Griner Instagram, Her Challenge To DeMarcus Cousins
Griner is very active on social media, particularly on Instagram. The Phoenix Mercury star has an interesting bio information on her Instagram account @brittneygriner: “Lesbian and Proud! Be who you are and be beautiful! Do what makes you happy no matter what the world say is right.”
For fans who are still unaware, Griner is one of the well-known basketball superstars who came out recently. She previously admitted she is gay, which is the reason behind the interesting profile information.
She frequently posts new photos that are getting a lot of attention, including the recent one showing DeMarcus Cousins. In the photo, Griner reiterated her desire to face Cousins in a one-on-one match. She expressed confidence again that she has what it takes to beat the Sacramento Kings center.
Brittney Griner And His Failed Marriage With Glory Johnson
Griner married fellow WNBA star Glory Johnson back in 2015. However, their marriage did not last that long, not even a month. Griner filed for divorce just 28 days after their wedding due to domestic violence. Their divorce was officially finalized in March, Daily Mail reported.
The former Baylor University standout reportedly found out that Johnson was still talking to an ex-boyfriend after they got married. She also discovered that the Dallas Wings star was still sleeping with a man during their dating stage. She was caught off guard when Johnson announced that she was pregnant.
Griner admitted that she was just pressured to get married. She added that she learned a big lesson on readying herself first before going into a serious relationship.
“With everything going on and counseling and classes, it just wasn’t the right way to start off a marriage,” Griner once said. “It wasn’t the right way to start off a unity like that. I wanted to take time to get myself right and shouldn’t have done it.”
