Music icon and newly crowned Queen of Vegas Britney Spears is gearing up to release new music. After 34-year-old Spears featured on the cover of V Magazine’s 100th issue, the singer reportedly called her much-anticipated album “the best thing.”
ET Online states that on the issue, which is slated to release March 8, Spears talked about the unsuspected danger of fame and the reason she hasn’t fully embraced technology. The Baby One More Time hitmaker also opened up about the status of her ninth album.
The pop star told writer John Norris, who first interviewed her for MTV in 1999, “Honestly, I’m just particular with this record.
“It’s my baby, and so I really want it done right. I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point. But I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time.”
The singer and actress said she still doesn’t use her computer. Her children use the computer more than she does. Spears said that she is aware of the fact that a lot of people are into it, but computers are just not her thing.
Bustle also says that Spears described her forthcoming album as “very different.” However, it has been more than two years since the last studio effort of the pop icon – the eponymous Britney Jean, where the track “Work B*tch” peaked at the No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200 in the United States.
While fans of Spears are waiting for her album, they can catch up via the singer’s social media accounts. The singer is such a pro at sharing candid, unfiltered moments of her life online.
