For so many months, the 41-year-old actress and 52-year-old actor were rumored to be on their way to separation. However, none of them, or anyone from their camp, ever came out to publicly deny it.
Thus, everyone could not believe that the speculations were, after all, true.
Could it be possible that there is truth to the cheating and drug use rumors hurled at the actor? Or, did Angelina Jolie just fall out of love that she finally decided to divorce Brad Pitt?
E! News revealed that “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” actor was caught off guard when he learned about his estranged wife’s move at the start of this week.
Accordingly, he just knew about her decision “one to two days ago, but did not know before that.”
Would he fight for his love and stop her from pursuing the divorce?
The insider hinted that Brad Pitt is very hurt until now, especially that he is still in love with Angelina Jolie.
“He is emotionally torn. Right now, he is devastated,” the source shared. “He still loved Angelina and would have preferred they fight to make the marriage work.”
The informant even continued to dish that the actor “was willing to do whatever it took” just to keep his wife by his side and his family together.
It was pointed out that the actor never wanted his marriage with his “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” leading lady to end.
In the meantime, Marion Cotillard, who was said to be the third party of the Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt romance, denied the accusations.
French actress, who stars with the actor in the upcoming World War II film “Allied,” took to Instagram to finally break her silence.
In a lengthy post, she noted that since the allegation “is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.”
While emphasizing that she is now with the man of her life, she told all the media and her haters who were reportedly quick to judge her to have a “swift recovery.”
Since the filing of divorce on Monday, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have never faced the media yet.
