The question that came to everyone’s mind upon hearing the news of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt splitting up is about the future of the kids.
The couple has six children – The twins Vivienne and Knox,8, Shiloh,10, Zahara,11, Pax,12, Maddox,15.
According to In Touch, Pitt, the 52 year old, is set to seek on having full custody of the kids. Although, reports do suggest that he opted for physical joint custody initially. This decision of his came in after a supervised meeting oh his with some of his kids.
A source told In Touch, “Once the kids came in, Brad lit up,” and added, “He had tears in his eyes and tried to hold it together.” This is the first time that “Fight Club” star has been able to see his kids since Jolie filed for divorce.
Pitt has made the situation clear to his children that it “wasn’t their fault”. The visit was highly emotional as Zahara and Vivienne begged in tears to go “home” to their father’s LA pad.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had previously volunteered to be a part of individual counselling. Both of them had come to a ‘temporary custody agreement’ on September 30, which will remain in effect till October 20.
According to ET, while looking into the claims of child abuse, the FBI says that they are, “continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued.”
ET also reported that according to a former source, the claims on child abuse are “exaggerated or untrue” and that there had been “no inappropriate physical contact”.
A source spoke for Jolie and said, “She is only concerned with the health and safety of her children, that is how she feels at this moment”.
Pitt is seeking for full custody as Jolie has refused to even consider the joint physical custody. According to In Touch, an insider said, “He’s ready for her,” and added, “He can and will refute all her claims in family court. He won’t let her take those children from him”.
